“- Young Ellie: Dad, do you think there's people on other planets?
- Ted Arroway: I don't know, Sparks. But I guess I'd say if it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space.” - From the movie Contact |
One special moment shaped the young Isabelle’s life in France, when her father drove her to the top of a hill to watch a dot of light moving in the starry night. In awe, she watched as he explained that this was Apollo-Soyuz, the joint US and Soviet satellites crossing the firmament. After this evening, she could not stop wondering about space, about our place in the universe and our perception of reality. She decided at age seven that she would become an astrophysicist.
Greatly inspired by the stories her father would tell her, about his early collaboration with Professor Maurice de Broglie at the Diderot University, on particle physics, Mrs. Chauffeton became fascinated by physics, mathematics and metaphysics. Isabelle's mother played a key role in opening Isabelle's mind and heart to the world around her. Isabelle's mother, a highly empathetic and compassionate person, has shaped Isabelle's approach to all things spiritual. While spending her free time reading about astronomy, Isabelle started to develop a keen interest in telepathy and extra-sensory perception. At age twelve, she challenged her scientific dad to participating in a table tipping session. The outcome of the session, leaving the table broken on the floor and her scientific dad, forever lost for words, set her on a path that would change forever the course of her student and professional life. Though she chose a path dedicated to the study of mathematics and physics when she first began her undergraduate studies in her native France, her intended career took an unexpected turn when she found herself in a position of first managing, then owning, several businesses across three continents, over an eighteen-year span. Yet, during the course of these years, Mrs. Chauffeton never ceased marveling at notions such as the origin of the world we live in, the mind boggling idea of infinity, the power of our mental capacities, and the no less mystifying concept of life after death. Other passions of Ms. Chauffeton include: music, both singing and songwriting. www.zazarmony.com, getting her children inspired by science, teaching them that being curious and compassionate are totally two compatible skills that everyone should have in life. She also love to cook for family and friends and is working on a cookbook based on her traditional French family cooking, passed on from her mom. Oh and of course, this is the line of business that keeps Isabelle busy: www.iteam-usa.com |
